Every year locals and visitors alike look forward to the month of October and one of the area's most celebrated events in Georgetown, the annual Wooden Boat Show. During this special time, exhibitors, craftsmen, boaters, vendors, and attendees gather in the historic downtown area to benefit the South Carolina Maritime Museum and enjoy a weekend dedicated to an essential part of lowcountry living.

Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st are time for the main event! Each day is filled with hours of fun and activities that the entire family will enjoy. Saturday's highlights include the Wooden Boat Challenge and Kids' Model Boatbuilding. Attend on Sunday for the Opti Pram Regatta for young sailors and the Cardboard Boat Regatta. Delicious food, Front Street shopping, and vivacious live music will be a part of both days' amusements along with the Wooden Boat Expo.
