2018 is coming to a close tonight, so today we are taking a moment to reflect on the many things this past year brought to our team. In our final blog post of the year, we are looking back on our favorite moments of 2018, significant sales of extraordinary properties, and more as we prepare to enter the New Year.

Headlines 

• During the month of June, the dedication of the 104th home built by the Habitat for Humanity Georgtown took place. It was an honor for Peace Sotheby's International Realty to be a part of raising funds and building this home. On June 23rd, the Duncan family was welcomed to their new residence with a beautiful celebration. • In September, 7 Lower Waverly Road presented by Perry Peace was featured on the cover of Charleston Style & Design Fall 2018 issue. The magazine featured an article highlighting beautiful images of this home while telling about the lifestyle of the Pawleys Island community. • November 28th was a special day this fall when one of our listings in DeBordieu Colony, 223 Pioneer Loop presented by Shawn Roper, was selected by Sotheby's International Realty as the Extraordinary Property of the Day. This palatial oceanfront home was featured across Sotheby's International Realty social media channels and received over 1,190 likes on their Instagram post which you can view here.

• On December 7th, our Pawleys Island Office's Broker in Charge Don Thomas was inducted as President of Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors (CCAR). In honor of the induction, The Coastal Observer did a special feature on Don in their edition published on Thursday, December 14, 2018. Highlights

• On April 9th, 2018, Peace Sotheby's International Realty held its first annual Peace & Art event at our Pawleys Island office. The event, sponsored by Movement Mortgage and Windermere Insurance, turned our office into an art gallery for the night featuring the work of three lowcountry artists: Pat Puckett, Braden Grafe, and Susan Moore. Agents and invited guests mingled as they enjoyed the art, company, food by Get Carried Away Catering, and drinks from Pawleys Wine & Spirits. Below is a brief video slideshow with images from throughout the evening. 

• Helping those impacted by the hurricane and flooding in September and October, our agents came together with the community to help those in need. Members of our team contributed to relief efforts in various ways from filling sand bags to collecting supplies for the Lowcountry Food Bank and American Red Cross through the "We Rise By Lifting Others" Drive. 

• Several members of our team had the opportunity to connect with other Sotheby's International Realty associates by visiting affiliate offices around the world and attending networking events over the course of 2018. We love to see our team "SIRcle the Globe" as part of a truly global network!
