Significant Sale: 125 S Dunes Drive Fordham 107

Oceanfront and located in the coveted community of Litchfield by the Sea, 124 S Dunes Fordham Unit 107 has sold for $1,150,000. Both the buyer and the seller were represented by Tracey P. Rogers, sales associate with Peace Sotheby's International Realty at our Pawleys Island office.

Tracey's established professional relationships with both the buyer and seller helped her artfully unite them on the sale of this property and achieve their individual goals. "Both saw the benefit of the sale," Tracey says, excited that the buyer and seller were satisfied with the closing of the property which sold at a "premium price."

The condominium is a spacious, wedge unit located on the first floor. It features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.  Additionally, the unit provides direct access to the ocean and incredible beach views.

Peace Sotheby's International Realty at SEWE 2019

Over this past weekend, February 15th through 17th, the 2019 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) took place in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual event taking place over the course of three days is defined as a "celebration of wildlife and nature through fine art, conservation education, sporting demonstrations, food, drink and the people who honor them all." To learn more about SEWE, visit their website:  For this year's event, our DeBordieu office hosted a booth in the tent at Brittlebank Park.

Over the three days of the event, members of the DeBordieu sales team volunteered and hosted the booth in shifts. During their time at the booth, they engaged in conversations with attendees about DeBordieu Colony, its unparallelled natural beauty, its finest amenities, and the unique lifestyle and charm that make it one of the East Coast's most extraordinary private communities. In addition to learning about DeBordieu, attendees could enter for the chance to win a hammock. At the end of each day, a name was drawn to select the winner of the hammock. Watch the video below for a quick recap of our time at SEWE 2019 including a picture of Saturday's hammock winner with agent Geoff Groat:

Significant Sale: 560 Myrtle Avenue

The historic Caledonia house on Pawleys Island, 560 Myrtle Avenue, has sold for $3,501,013. The initial asking price for this home was $3,299,000 and it sold within 30 days of being listed. The sellers were represented by Perry Peace, Sales Associate and Co-Owner of Peace Sotheby's International Realty, and the buyers were represented by Sheri Nannarello with The Dieter Company.

"This is the second time that I sold this iconic Pawleys Island home," reflects Peace on this significant sale.  "I enjoy representing properties of all types. Working with unique properties is always fun." He describes this particular property as "nostalgic and wonderful" as well as "a treasure chest of family fun times and memories".

Caledonia was originally built in 1842 by Robert Nesbit, who was the owner of the "Caledonia" Plantation. The home is located on a prominent dune ridge in the historic district of Pawleys Island, a community noted as one of "America's Oldest Seaside Resorts".  It features 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The home boasts breathtaking views of the beach and creek along with the many activities that access to both natural amenities afford. Over time, aspects of the home such as the larger kitchen have been updated to accommodate a modern lifestyle while still retaining the timeless charm of this classic beach home. From generation to generation and owner to owner, Caledonia is an emblem for the ageless lowcountry lifestyle synonymous with living on Pawleys Island.
