Successfully SOLD & Marketed
The month of January marks a great start to 2020 with several successfully sold and marketed properties from our team. To celebrate, we're hearing from a few of the sales associates who artfully matched buyers and sellers for these properties stretching from Myrtle Beach to Historic Georgetown.
Relationships are invaluable to our agents. Sales associates Lindy Shealy Mickle, who represented the seller, and Denise Talbert, who represented the buyer, recently worked together on the sale of 549 Beach Bridge Road in Prince George Ocean. "Prince George is such a unique, beautiful community in the Pawleys Island area. As the sellers' agent, I really enjoyed representing the neighborhood and this exceptional oceanfront home. This was a great experience for so many reasons. Mainly because I met a great friend," Lindy says. Denise affirms that she made a great connection with her buyer as well, "I too feel I made a lifelong friend in my client from the sale of Beach Bridge. What an amazing experience and learning opportunity."
The Church Team was also able to begin a special relationship representing the sellers of 91 Pinckney Road in DeBordieu Colony. Elisabeth Church recalls, "The owners said we were exactly what they needed for selling their home, giving them peace of mind and freedom from worry throughout the process." Friendships built throughout a real estate journey last for many years to come. In North Litchfield, Darissa Thompson said, "It is such an honor to work with my seller clients on 1011 Parker Drive. For 16 years now, I have worked with them in both buying and selling different properties in our area." Likewise, Jennifer Nichols' recent sale of 410 Mooreland Drive in Myrtle Beach served her sellers who she has known and helped for several years.

In celebration of buying her future residence of 614 Prince Street, sales associate Rhonda Bryant Sawyer excitedly announced on her Facebook page, "Scott and I are so excited to be moving to GEORGETOWN! We are thrilled to be the newest residents of the Sampson-Hamby-Ward House. Thanks to Toby Avant for all of your help!" Toby Avant, a sales associate from our DeBordieu office, was the listing agent for this unique and locally significant home. He says, "I was proud and honored to represent such a special home in Georgetown. I was hoping that someone from the area would purchase this beautiful home and was elated to help Rhonda (a fellow agent) and her husband Scott acquire it."

Oceanfront and located in the coveted community of Litchfield by the Sea, 124 S Dunes Fordham Unit 107 has sold for $1,150,000. Both the buyer and the seller were represented by Tracey P. Rogers, sales associate with Peace Sotheby's International Realty at our Pawleys Island office.
Tracey's established professional relationships with both the buyer and seller helped her artfully unite them on the sale of this property and achieve their individual goals. "Both saw the benefit of the sale," Tracey says, excited that the buyer and seller were satisfied with the closing of the property which sold at a "premium price."

Significant Sale: 560 Myrtle Avenue
The historic Caledonia house on Pawleys Island, 560 Myrtle Avenue, has sold for $3,501,013. The initial asking price for this home was $3,299,000 and it sold within 30 days of being listed. The sellers were represented by Perry Peace, Sales Associate and Co-Owner of Peace Sotheby's International Realty, and the buyers were represented by Sheri Nannarello with The Dieter Company.
"This is the second time that I sold this iconic Pawleys Island home," reflects Peace on this significant sale. "I enjoy representing properties of all types. Working with unique properties is always fun." He describes this particular property as "nostalgic and wonderful" as well as "a treasure chest of family fun times and memories".
Caledonia was originally built in 1842 by Robert Nesbit, who was the owner of the "Caledonia" Plantation. 2018: A Year in Review - Headlines, Highlights, and Significant Sales
2018 is coming to a close tonight, so today we are taking a moment to reflect on the many things this past year brought to our team. In our final blog post of the year, we are looking back on our favorite moments of 2018, significant sales of extraordinary properties, and more as we prepare to enter the New Year.
Headlines
- During the month of June, the dedication of the 104th home built by the Habitat for Humanity Georgtown took place. It was an honor for Peace Sotheby's International Realty to be a part of raising funds and building this home. On June 23rd, the Duncan family was welcomed to their new residence with a beautiful celebration. - In September, 7 Lower Waverly Road presented by Perry Peace was featured on the cover of Charleston Style & Design Fall 2018 issue. The magazine featured an article highlighting beautiful images of this home while telling about the lifestyle of the Pawleys Island community. - November 28th was a special day this fall when one of our listings in DeBordieu Colony, 223 Pioneer Loop presented by Shawn Roper, was selected by Sotheby's International Realty as the Extraordinary Property of the Day. This palatial oceanfront home was featured across Sotheby's International Realty social media channels and received over 1,190 likes on their Instagram post which you can view here.
- On December 7th, our Pawleys Island Office's Broker in Charge Don Thomas was inducted as President of Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors (CCAR). Highlights
- On April 9th, 2018, Peace Sotheby's International Realty held its first annual Peace & Art event at our Pawleys Island office. The event, sponsored by Movement Mortgage and Windermere Insurance, turned our office into an art gallery for the night featuring the work of three lowcountry artists: Pat Puckett, Braden Grafe, and Susan Moore. Agents and invited guests mingled as they enjoyed the art, company, food by Get Carried Away Catering, and drinks from Pawleys Wine & Spirits. Below is a brief video slideshow with images from throughout the evening.
- Helping those impacted by the hurricane and flooding in September and October, our agents came together with the community to help those in need. Members of our team contributed to relief efforts in various ways from filling sand bags to collecting supplies for the Lowcountry Food Bank and American Red Cross through the "We Rise By Lifting Others" Drive.
- Several members of our team had the opportunity to connect with other Sotheby's International Realty associates by visiting affiliate offices around the world and attending networking events over the course of 2018. We love to see our team "SIRcle the Globe" as part of a truly global network!
